Sugar Sugar no. 3 Matte Wall Art

"Sugar Sugar" examines the collision between consumer nostalgia and constructed femininity. Layers of commercial packaging, halftone texture, and distressed print surfaces merge with fragmented silhouettes of the female form, transforming everyday candy wrappers into fields of visual mythology. The bright sweetness of bubble gum, an object designed for instant pleasure, becomes a backdrop against which identity is projected, erased, and reconstructed. In these compositions, the body is not fully present but suggested through negative space, as if cut from the surface of advertising itself. The result sits somewhere between pop seduction and cultural archaeology, a meditation on how desire is manufactured, packaged, and endlessly reproduced.
